The lyaer'tsa was a traditional Twi'lek weapon used on Ryloth in ceremonial contests. It consisted of a staff containing a vibroblade on one end, which was used in armed combat. As part of tradition, this weapon was designed only to inflict injury and not to kill a person. Wedge Antilles, Winter, Sixtus Quin, and Septaas wielded these weapons in a contest arranged by Cazne'olan for custody of Firith Olan.
