Lake Marudi was a lake on the forest moon Endor that consisted of two separate, smaller bodies of water connected by a thin, water-filled ravine.[2] It was located 3.1 kilometers (2 miles) south-east of the Ewok inhabited Bright Tree Village and to the west of the lake the Galactic Empire constructed a shield generator bunker.[1] In order to avoid having to travel around the lake, Ewoks hung a rope-bridge across the strait of Lake Marudi,[2] and in 4 ABY,[3] an army of Ewoks from Bright Tree Village traveled across the bridge with several allies from the Rebel Alliance while trekking toward a rendezvous with other Rebel forces at the bunker before they attacked the Imperial forces.[1]
Behind the scenes
Lake Marudi was first mentioned in the 2004 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy, which was written by James Luceno and illustrated by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen.[1]
