K-8PO was a blue-plated protocol droid, who was receiving treatment at the droid spa on Coruscant.

Biography

In 20 BBY[2], Anakin Skywalker sent R2-D2 and C-3PO to buy jogan fruit for a cake that was going to be provided at a state banquet senator Padmé Amidala was organizing for senator Aang. Shortly after they purchased the jogan fruit, Todo-360, in order to help Cad Bane kidnap C-3PO, flew towards them and told them about a Droid Spa nearby, hoping R2 would go to it and that 3PO could be captured. After the two friends argued about going to it, R2 went to the spa and C-3PO was captured shortly afterwards.[1]

K-8PO was present at the droid spa at that time and he was being washed shortly before R2-D2 would be, as well. After R2 was cleaned, he received a decarbonizing buff and left the spa. He saw that his friend was missing and started looking for him. Soon after, he was also captured by Cad Bane, Helios 3-E and Todo-360. After downloading the architectural plans for the Republic Executive Building from his memory banks, Bane and the others wiped R2 and C-3PO's memories of the incident and brought them back near the spa. The two then returned to Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala.[1]

K-8PO's name is revealed in the Jedi Archives feature "Development of Droid Spa Scrubbers" in the Special Features of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season Three.
