Jedi Master Prosset Dibs' lightsaber was a green-bladed lightsaber. The Jedi Master wielded the lightsaber during a mission to the planet Hissrich.

Description

The lightsaber was a single-blade lightsaber owned by the Miraluka Prosset Dibs, a Jedi Master within the Jedi Order. Its cylindrical gray hilt featured an activator[1] and housed a kyber crystal[2] that produced a green-colored blade.[1]

History

"Do not take my resistance to combat—as ineptitude."
―Prosset Dibs, to a squadron of droids[1]

In 22 BBY[4] at the start of the war between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic, Dibs accompanied Jedi Knight Rissa Mano and Jedi Masters Mace Windu and Kit Fisto to the planet Hissrich in order to investigate a growing Separatist presence on the planet. The Miraluka brought his lightsaber on the mission. Dibs utilized the lightsaber when the Jedi team engaged with a patrol squadron of battle droids. He destroyed an octuptarra tri-droid while warning the droids to not mistake his aversion to violence as inability to fight.[1]

Soon after the Jedi team was surrounded by a group of[1] native people. Dibs kept this lightsaber ignited as he and the others were led into the subterranean caves of Hissrich. He continued to keep his lightsaber present as they delved deeper into the caves and Mano investigated a scout B1-series battle droid.[5]

Behind the scenes

Dibs' lightsaber first appeared in the first issue of the 2017 comic series Star Wars: Jedi of the Republic – Mace Windu. The story was written by Matt Owens, illustrated by Denys Cowan, and published by Marvel Comics[1] on August 30, 2017.[6] Multiple pages of Jedi of the Republic – Mace Windu featuring in-progess art that depicted the lightsaber were released, with pencils by Cowan[7] and inks by Roberto Poggi,[8][9][10][11][12][13] who inked for the series.[14]
