The implant communicator was a marvel of modern electronics. It was almost considered a cybernetic device. It was a series of tiny transceivers that were surgically inserted under the skin along the skull and next to the vocal cords of the user.[3]
This allowed the user to pickup and send messages without being noticed. While very useful for spies, it suffered from a short range and was especially vulnerable to ion attacks.
