Star Wars Journal: Hero for Hire is a Legends junior novel written by Donna Tauscher. It is part of the Star Wars Journals series, and it was published by Scholastic in July 1998, in conjunction with Star Wars Journal: Captive to Evil and Star Wars Journal: The Fight for Justice.
Hero for Hire is presented as a group of in-universe datapad entries recording a conversation between Han Solo and the B'omarr monk Sai'da, during the time Solo was captive in Jabba's Palace in 4 ABY.
