Grek was a BDX droid who was active at Savi & Son Salvage in Black Spire Outpost on the Outer Rim planet Batuu^[1] by 34 ABY.^[2] The diminutive biped was shy, but with a keen attention to detail, which made her effective at cataloguing. She joined her team of droids later than her counterparts.^[1]^[3] Grek was also trained by Resistance operative Vi Moradi to assist her in covertly gathering First Order intelligence.^[4]

Behind the Scenes

Grek, like the other BDX droids, was a real-world robot who could be seen in various Disney Parks locations, including Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at both Disneyland in Anaheim, California and Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. She was developed by Disney's Research and Imagineering departments using NVIDIA artificial intelligence technology (AI) as part of a collaboration with NVIDIA and the Google DeepMind AI laboratory.^[5]

Though previously appearing at Disneyland and other Disney Parks, on July 16, 2025, Grek made her first appearances at Disney's Hollywood Studios, which featured her and her fellow BDX units in multiple scenarios. These included practicing protocols with a Gatherer from Savi's Workshop^[3] and helping Resistance operative Vi Moradi scan around the TIE Echelon.^[4]
