This Lucrehulk-class battleship participated in the Battle of Coruscant in 19 BBY.[1] During the engagement, the Lucrehulk caught a Venator-class Star Destroyer in-between its docking arms. The captive Venator docked with the ship and offloaded teams of clone troopers whom tore through its corridors.[4] During Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi's attempt to rescue the Supreme Chancellor, the clone soldiers had successfully captured the Lucrehulk.[5]
Behind the scenes
- "There's so much happening high above Coruscant that it's hard to single out one spectacle not to miss. There's a very intriguing tangle that has a triangular Republic destroyer caught within the arms of a massive ring-shaped Trade Federation battleship. It's hard to tell what's happening here: perhaps the Federation ship has somehow captured the Republic vessel in its clutches. According to the Animatics Department that plotted out the space battle, the Republic ship is docked with a captive donut ship, and teams of clone troopers are tearing through the corridors."

Republic-aligned Lucrehulk-class battleship
During the opening sequence of Revenge of the Sith which encompasses the Battle of Coruscant, a Lucrehulk appears with a Venator between its hangar bay arms as Obi-Wan maneuvers to escape from a pair of discord missiles fired upon him and Anakin earlier. The two vessels are visible near the bottom left whilst a Recusant-class light destroyer collides with a Munificent-class star frigate.
It was revealed in the StarWars.com article, Episode III Easter Egg Hunt, that while plotting out the space battle, the Animatics Department for the film intended for this particular Lucrehulk to be in the midst of a boarding conducted by clones from the docked Venator.[4] The 2005 edition of the reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations, published on October 17 of that year, includes the two ships on a diagram of the Battle of Coruscant, approximately within the location corresponding to where they appear on-screen in the film. Directly above the diagram illustrations is an infobox which features a film still of the starships without debris obscuring them as they are within the theatrical cut and subsequent releases. The map color-coded the Lucrehulk as being a Republic-aligned ship, thus confirming the clones were successful in capturing the ship.[5]
