"Well, let's trust the force then."
―Duta responding to Leesagum[1]

Duta was a Tholothian Jedi Master who served on the Jedi Council[1] at some point by 1032 BBY.[2] While in a Jedi Council meeting, the group were approached by Ara, a pilot from the planet Dolgarak who could see prophetic images on rocks when it rained. Ara's culture had two statues attuned to the force, representing the light and dark, and she proposed a mission to cut off the head of the Dark Side statue to influence the outcome of the Jedi's current war with the Sith. While Duta's peer, Jedi Master Leesagum, was skeptical of the idea, Duta was more sympathetic and assigned Toul to accompany Ara on their mission.[1]

Behind the scenes

Duta appeared in "Journey to the Dark Head," the fifth episode of Star Wars: Visions' second volume, which premiered on Disney+ on May 4, 2023. They were voiced by Choi Soo Min in the Korean voice cast and Jonella Landry in the English voice cast.[3]
