The Descent Ghetto was a crime-ridden district of New Tayana, a space city that orbited the planet Duro. During the waning years of the Galactic Republic, the Duros Soopan established himself as a crime boss within the Descent Ghetto by impersonating his old friend Cad Bane, a former city resident who had developed a formidable reputation as a successful bounty hunter. In around 21 BBY, Bane returned to the Descent Ghetto to confront Soopan and stop him from masquerading as Bane.
