- "Captain Sait has a contact in the Black Sun who is willing to take this ship off our hands for a good sum of credits. You'll make more than you would in a lifetime of service to the Empire. All you have to do is stay quiet and go along for the ride"
- ―Kenkirk to Olum
Kenkirk was a commander and officer in the Imperial Navy who lived at the time of the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
At one point, Kenkirk was in command of a VT-49 Decimator
Kenkirk entered the Imperial Navy and rose to the rank of Lieutenant. As of 1.5 ABY he served aboard the Imperial Star Destroyer Blackguard under the command of Captain Andal Sait. When Sait decided to go rogue and sell his ship to the criminal Black Sun crime syndicate, Kenkirk too became a traitor to the Empire and remained loyal to Sait. He helped test other officers' allegiance and persuaded several of his fellow crew members to follow the traitorous Captain.
Kenkirk was on duty on the Blackguard's bridge when chief engineer Olum started all the ship's TIE Fighters to use them to transmit a message to the Empire, warning them about Sait's treachery. As Olum had disabled the ship's tractor beams, most of the fighters were shot down. After this incident, Sait promoted Kenkirk to the rank of Commander.
Eventually the news about Sait's treachery got out and a crew of heavily armed spacers was sent to the Blackguard. The spacers boarded the ship and managed to fight their way through the ship towards the Star Destroyer's bridge. Kenkirk awaited them not far from the bridge and attacked the adventurers with heavy weapons, but was killed in the fight. Soon after, Sait was killed too and the spacers gained control of the Blackguard.

Notes and references
- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
