A polarizer was a component of a Wookiee bowcaster,[2] connected by a spar piece known as a Conducting Rod.[1] Each bowcaster had two polarizers, and an alternating polarity pulse was passed between them. This allowed the the weapon to accelerate the metal bowstring forward at tremendous speed, launching an explosive quarrel.[2]
