The Battle of Malrev IV was one of the opening battles of the Light and Darkness War, in 1004 BBY. In a similar way to the Battle of Dromund Kaas that took place around the same time, the Sith landed an army to occupy the planet but they were repelled by a violent Republic counterattack.^[2]

The Force-sensitive Twi'lek Boc Aseca would later relive the Jedi victory via impressions taken from the ashes of ancient Jedi Newar Forrth, another Twi'lek.^[3]
