B3-S1, commonly referred to as "Bessi," was a unique Basilisk war droid owned by the Mandalorian Lane Vizla at the time of the third Galactic War.[3]
Biography
Bessi was rescued from a secret laboratory on Ruhnuk, where Kur Ha'rangir, had subjected her to cruel experiments in his quest to enhance Bessi's formidable machines. At some point when Bessi was rescued, Lane Vizla undertook the task of studying and repairing Bessi, scouring the galaxy for information and resources.[4]
Around 3623 BBY,[5] Vizla asked the Alliance Commander to see her latest project and was tasked with taking Bessi out and training her with training modules.[3] Later, Vizla mentioned that Bessi required repairs to her memory circuits. Shebs, an HK-24 astromech droid then suggested that the Commander travel to Belsavis to locate an HK-24 series assassin droid in order to obtain the memory circuits, the Commander later returned with the memory circuits and handed it over to Vizla. After Bessi was repaired, Vizla thanked both the astromech and the Commander, expressing gratitude for both of their help.[6]
Behind the scenes
B3-S1 appears as part of Lane Vizla's storyline in Game Update 7.5 of Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith. Players can earn and upgrade Bessi as a companion through the new ventures system.[7]
