- "Can you feel it? This place is a pot ready to boil over. Too many sentients, not enough resources… not enough hope."
- ―K'Kruhk regaarding the refugee camp
A refugee camp on the planet Arkinnea was founded[2] around 19 BBY[1] to harbor refugees displaced by the Clone Wars. The camp was managed by the Arkinnea Militia—who had a distaste for the refugees due to the events of the war—under the supervision of the Galactic Empire. A group of Jedi younglings led by Jedi Masters K'Kruhk were assigned to section two-four-one of the camp.[2] The refugees from the camp, save for the Jedi thanks to the warnings of Jedi Master Zao, were all killed by the Arkinnea Militia by way of being dropped from the hatch of an ore carrier.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Arkinnea refugee camp first appeared in Dark Times—Fire Carrier 1,[2] the twenty-third issue of the Star Wars: Dark Times comic series published on February 6, 2013[4]
