Alvorine was a planet located in the Yminis sector of the Outer Rim Territories.
Description
Map of Alvorine
Alvorine was a mid-sized world that orbited the three blue-white stars of the Alvorine system. It was known for its colorful jungles and its large crystalline spires.[3]
Alvorine had one major city, Alvorine City, which hosted the Government Offices of the Alvorine Authority and the Alvorine Authority Security Office of the Authority Security Forces. A separate spaceport, Alvorine Spaceport, was located on a mesa 20 kilometers north of the city.[3]
History
Alvorine sat in an area of space that was explored sometime between 15,000 BBY and 8000 BBY.[2]
During the Galactic Civil War, Alvorine was the base of operations of Krova the Hutt's criminal empire. During that time, the Hutt crime lord made a tidy profit selling information to both sides of the conflict, the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. Krova was personally responsible for the Massacre at Kolanda Station on Latharra.[3]
After the Battle of Endor and the collapse of the Empire in this area of space, Alvorine became a member of the New Republic. Krova the Hutt was declared a war criminal for selling information on the Rebel Alliance to the Empire, and a bounty was placed on her head. As a result, Krova fled Alvorine before she was captured and abandoned much of her wealth to the planetary government, the Alvorine Authority.[3]
Krova was later captured by the Dug bounty hunter Langro Dis in the Pluthan system, near the Pluthan asteroid belt. The Hutt crime lord was then brought to Alvorine for trial.[3]
It wasn't long before Krova the Hutt attracted the attention of a group of darksiders, who were looking for a Sith holocron in her possession.[3]
