"I spent a fortune on this mobile gambling hall."
―Que-Dama[5]

The AK-BK was an amalgamation of two All Terrain Armored Transport walkers modified to include buildings on top of it.[2] The Anzellan Que-Dama operated a gambling hall in the AK-BK.[5]

Behind the scenes

«We actually call that AT-AT walker the "AK-BK." The reason is that we designed the AT-AT to resemble an akabeko. So, we named it "AK-BK."»
―Takanobu Mizuno[1]

The AK-BK appeared in "The Duel: Payback", a non-canon short film that is part of the third volume of the Star Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced by Kamikaze Douga and ANIMA, was released on Disney+ on October 29, 2025. The AK-BK was first mentioned at the Star Wars: Visions panel at Celebration Japan on April 19, 2025.[2]

According to director Takanobu Mizuno, the AK-BK is designed to resemble and takes its name from akabeko,[1] a toy from Fukushima, Japan shaped like a red cow.[6] The buildings on the AK-BK are Japanese-style buildings inspired by those at the Ginzan Onsen. It also has a sign based on the Kenbishi Sake Brewing Company. It was designed by Takashi Okazaki.[2]
