"After Abrion… Mededrix continued to serve with honor and distinction. At Ryloth. At Saleucami."
Admiral Wullf Yularen[1]

Between 21 BBY and 20 BBY,[2] following the Battle of Ryloth and before the Devaron massacre, a battle was fought on[1] the planet[3] Saleucami. The 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps and Commander Mekedrix,[1] who served in the Galactic Republic-aligned defense forces of the astronomical object Roon,[4] were deployed into the battle, which was waged during the Clone Wars between the Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems. During the engagement, a clone trooper officer and two other clone troopers rode into combat on BARC speeders. As he had in previous deployments, Mekedrix fought with distinction and honor during the battle.[1]

Behind the scenes

The battle of Saleucami first appeared through flashback in the fourth issue of the Marvel Star Wars: Obi-Wan comic book mini-series. The issue was written by Christopher Cantwell and featured art by Madibek Musabekov.[1] While the comic itself was released on August 31, 2022, the flashback panel was included within the StarWars.com preview for the comic released on August 24, 2022.[5]

  2. 2.0 2.1 Obi-Wan 4 establishes that the battle of Saleucami that Mekedrix fought in took place after the Battle of Ryloth, which ended in "Liberty on Ryloth," but before the Devaron massacre, which occurred in "Monster." Per the reasoning here, the events of "Liberty on Ryloth" can be dated to 21 BBY, while the events of "Monster" can be dated to 20 BBY. As such, the battle of Saleucami must occur between those two years.
