- "Ferno would, after his eventual release, go on to write his memoir Fighting with the Galactic Empire which—having read these previously restricted interrogations—differs noticeably from the account of events he gave the New Republic."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
Fighting with the Galactic Empire was the memoir of Corf Ferno, a former Vice Admiral of the Galactic Empire who was captured by the New Republic during the Kuat Offensive[1] in 5 ABY.[2] Ferno published the memoir after his eventual release by the New Republic, although the information he gave in it differed notably from information he had provided during interrogation by his captors. After receiving access to the restricted interrogation reports on Ferno, the historian Beaumont Kin noted the discrepancies and suggested they ought to be investigated in[1] his[3] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire[1] in 35 ABY.[4]
Behind the scenes
Fighting with the Galactic Empire was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
