A dark side Force user could unleash fiery energy to attack their enemies. The Sith Lord Darth Sidious could use the power, which was created through Sith alchemy. In 1 BBY, he wielded the energy to attack the Jedi Ezra Bridger and the Force-Sensitive Outcast Ahsoka Tano while the pair were in the World Between Worlds.

Fiery energy could be used to grab enemies.

Manifesting as bright blue flames, fiery energy was a dark-sided Force power. Fiery energy had a large range and could be used to attack and also grab a target to draw them closer. The Sith Lord and Galactic Emperor Darth Sidious was able to use the power, and could conjure the necessary energy by performing Sith alchemy using a ritual altar. After the altar filled with flames, Sidious spoke an alien language to deploy the flames and could maneuver the energy from his hands. Fiery energy could be interacted with by physical means or blocked by use of the Force.[1]

In 1 BBY,[2] Sidious used fiery energy to attack the Jedi Padawan Ezra Bridger and the Force-Sensitive Outcast Ahsoka Tano in the World Between Worlds. From the ceremonial chamber[1] in a tower on[3] the planet[4] Coruscant,[3] Sidious was able to send his fiery energy through a portal into the force realm towards the two. As the Sith Lord attacked, Tano raised[1] her[4] palms and used the Force to deflect the onslaught. With some assistance from Bridger, the two were able to defend themselves, but after the initial wave of fire ended, Tano collapsed, greatly fatigued from the effort.[1]

The two fled from Sidious' second attack, but as they ran, a strand of flames wrapped around Bridger's leg and began to pull him towards Sidious. The connection allowed the Sith Lord to begin physically entering the realm. However, when Tano used her lightsabers to sever the strand of flames, the Sith Lord's hand, which had passed through the portal into the World Between Worlds, was repelled. As Bridger and Tano separated and each ran towards the portal they had entered through, the fiery energy forked and continued to pursue them both. Sidious' attack was unsuccessful, as both light-siders escaped from him and exited the World Between Worlds safely. His fiery energy was unable to pass through the portals that the two had disappeared through.[1]

Fiery energy appeared in "A World Between Worlds,"[1] the thirteenth episode of the fourth season of the animated television series Star Wars Rebels. The episode premiered on February 26, 2018,[5] although fiery energy originally was pictured in the Season Four mid-season trailer on January 19 of that year.[6] The power was identified in the episode guide released on StarWars.com after the episode's release.[7] Concept art of Darth Sidious summoning his fiery energy as well as a lighting concept of Ezra Bridger and Ahsoka Tano being attacked by the fiery energy was done by artist Molly Denmark.[8][9]

During an episode of The Star Wars Show that released on March 6, 2018, Lucasfilm Story Group's Pablo Hidalgo spoke about Sidious using the fiery energy as a means to attempt to enter the World Between Worlds. Hidalgo explained that while Sidious was able to use Sith alchemy to view Bridger's location, the Sith Lord was unable to physically enter the realm. The fiery energy was not only a means of attack, but an attempt to gain a foothold into the realm that he could use to pull himself into it.[10] While anchored to Bridger, Sidious' hand was pulled through the portal, but once the connection broke, his point of entry was severed, leaving him unable to enter the World Between Worlds.[1]
