Fi Yona and the Hyper-Gazers

Fi Yona and the Hyper-Gazers was a band active during the High Republic Era. The band performed at the Republic Fair on the Outer Rim planet Valo[1] in 231 BBY,[2] shortly before the event was attacked by Nihil marauders. The Kuranu inventor Mantessa Chekkat had hoped to hear Fi Yona and the Hyper-Gazers play, but was unable to, having previously been imprisoned within a holding cell in[1] Lonisa City Detention Center.[3]

Behind the scenes

Fi Yona and the Hyper-Gazers were mentioned in the 2021 novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm, written by Cavan Scott[1] for the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's Phase I.[4]
