The Ferrous Aurora Nebula was a nebula located in the Yavin system of the Outer Rim Territories. During the Galactic Civil War, travel through the nebula was considered to be dangerous, due to a presence of Ni'lyahin Smugglers.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Ferrous Aurora Nebula appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[2] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] The Ferrous Aurora Nebula was added to the game with the release of the expansion pack Jump to Lightspeed on October 27, 2004.[2]

While originally being located withing the Yavin system,[2] the nebula was placed in the Thesme sector by the The Essential Atlas Online Companion.[1] Jason Fry, author of The Essential Atlas, later acknowledged that the placement in the Online Companion was erroneous.[5]
