- "Fight the Empire!"
- ―Maarva Andor inspires her people
A resistance movement[1] erupted into being on the planet Ferrix during the Galactic Empire's occupation,[2] which had been upsetting the sons and Daughters of Ferrix,[4] in 5 BBY.[3] After the death of Maarva Carassi Andor, a massive funeral procession was held against Imperial regulations that culminated in a pre-recorded hologram speech from Andor, who implored her people to fight against the Empire. Inspired by her words and enraged by the actions of Imperial captain Vanis Tigo, who threw aside Andor's droid B2EMO for playing her speech, the gathered people of Ferrix attacked the Imperials[2] and formed a resistance movement.[1] The Empire's counterattack largely shut down the rioters, many of whom were killed, while others fled Ferrix.[2]
