Feldrona was a planet[4] located in the Feldrona system, a part of the Glythe sector[1] in the New Territories portion of[2] the Mid Rim.[1] At some point, it was colonized by members of the Zabrak species from[4] the Glythe sector[5] planet Iridonia.[4]
After its establishment in 130 ABY, several of Iridonia's seven colony worlds rebelled against the new dominance of the Galactic Empire ruled by the Sith Lord Darth Krayt. In response, the Empire devastated two of the colonies via orbital bombardment, and afterward, the remaining five worlds surrendered to Imperial forces. The Sith Lord in charge of Iridonia and its colonies subsequently decreed that, as punishment for the colonies' betrayal, Feldrona be transformed into a tightly controlled Imperial prison world. The planet was then cordoned off and used to exile criminals.[4]
Behind the scenes
Feldrona was introduced in the sourcebook Legacy Era Campaign Guide, published by Wizards of the Coast[4] on March 17, 2009[6] for use with the Star Wars Roleplaying Game.[4] The August 18, 2009[7] reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Feldrona system, and therefore the planet itself, in grid square J-7.[3]
