Fay Drolla was a human engineer that worked with with the Alliance to Restore the Republic at its base on the moon Yavin 4 in 2 BBY. During his time at the base he was tasked with reprogramming a KX-series security droid that Cassian Andor recovered from the Ghorman Massacre. When he was ready to power it up after the reprogramming he sent a corporal to notify Andor of the test. After explaining some of the details of the reprogramming his offer of protective goggles was rejected by Andor who instead chose to grab a blaster rifle and aim it at the droid during the activation. Drolla proceeded to flip a switch to activate the droid that would become K-2SO. [1]

Personality and traits

Drolla had light skin, brown eyes and grey hair. While reprogramming K-2SO, Drolla wore a protective goggles and a tan vest over a tan and orange jumpsuit.[1]

Behind the scenes

Fay Drolla appeared in the ninth episode of the second season of the live-action Disney+ series Star Wars: Andor[1] which aired on May 6, 2025.[3] They were portrayed by Tim Plester in the episode.[1]
