Fantafly polyhedral dice were a type of gambling dice used at the Canto Casino and Racetrack, in the Canto Bight city on the Outer Rim Territories planet Cantonica.[1] They shared their name with the casino dice game Fantafly that was also played in Canto Bight[2] by 10 BBY.[3]

The dice could be tetrahedral, cubic, or eight-, ten-, twelve-, or twenty-sided in shape. They could be colored in a gold-silver-bronze palette,[1] but there also existed examples that were blue, purple, or translucent-red in color.[4] The different colors and shapes of Fantafly polyhedral dice made them stand out.[5] The dice also had various markings on their faces.[1] In 34 ABY,[6] Fantafly polyhedral dice were among the gaming implements present at the casino of Canto Bight's Coruscant Hotel and Casino.[4]

Fantafly polyhedral dice were first mentioned in Pablo Hidalgo's 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Visual Dictionary.[1] They share similarities with the real-world dice[7] used in Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars Roleplaying series of products, including the Edge of the Empire, Age of Rebellion, and Force and Destiny lines of games, which all utilize[8] cubic and eight-, ten-, and twelve-sided dice in various colors.[7]

Fantafly polyhedral dice went on to have their first full appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi – DJ – Most Wanted 1, a Marvel Comics one-shot comic-book written by Ben Acker and Ben Blacker, penciled by Kev Walker,[4] and published on January 31, 2018.[9] "General Equipment (2)," a booklet of De Agostini's Star Wars Encyclopedia series[5] that was published on February 18, 2022,[10] misidentified[1] Fantafly polyhedral dice as Hazard Toss dice[5] in a section authored by Tim Veekhoven.[11]
