Falen Buir was a Human male soldier who served within the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

"Right, here is the plan. You'll need to fight your way in and in the confusion find an enemy uniform. Once you have the enemy uniform, give it to the officer to make an escape."
Mara Jade, to an Imperial spacer[3]

Following the Battle of Yavin, Falen served as a Rebel Desert Trooper and was stationed in a prison facility within the hidden Rebel base on Corellia.[2] In 1 ABY,[1] the Alliance captured and imprisoned six Imperial officers in this facility. During the Empire Day festivities of the same year, Emperor's Hand Mara Jade employed a group of loyal Imperial spacers to rescue the officers. The Imperial operatives attacked the prison facility and killed Falen Buir during the assault. One of the Imperial spacers then took his Rebel battle armor so that one of the Imperial officers could sneak out of the base in the disguise.[2]

Notes and references

  1. 1.0 1.1 The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
