Evord the Incinerator was an individual who wrote letters in Low Core Basic. As a teenager, the Chandrilan Mon Mothma learned to read Low Core Basic in order to interpret Evord's letters.[1]
In 19 BBY,[2] Mothma, by then a senator in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Senate, spoke with a Gossam woman at a gala on the planet Coruscant. When the Gossam woman asked her if she remembered the Courtsilius Wax Revolution, Mothma thought of her teenage bedroom and her library of foreign histories, remembering Evord's letters and her purchase of a manuscript of Porayne's Guide before recalling the revolution. After telling the Gossam she remembered it, the Gossam told Mothma to speak with the former Separatist Tychon Nulvolio to gain the support of the ex-Separatist voting bloc.[1]

Evord the Incinerator was mentioned in the 2025 novel Reign of the Empire: The Mask of Fear, written by Alexander Freed as the first installment of the Star Wars: Reign of the Empire trilogy.[1]

Therefore, the events of Edge of the Abyss must be set in 6 BBY, and the events of The Mask of Fear in 19 BBY.
