Etkis Rilad was a police officer and pilot of the Mos Eisley Police who lived during the time of the Galactic Civil War.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Etkis Rilad, piloting a Z-95 Headhunter, was dispatched along with Officer Roris Zhaiss and several freelance pilots to defeat a group of Black Sun pirate starfighters in the Tatoo system. The dreaded pirate leader only known as the Black Nemesis was killed in the battle.[1]

Behind the scenes

Etkis Rilad appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[3] Etkis Rilad was added to the game with the release of the expansion pack Jump to Lightspeed on October 27, 2004.[1]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
