Equipment overvests were a piece of clothing worn by the rebel pilots of Gray Squadron over pressurised g-suit overalls. They contained an emergency breathing system that could be linked to the pilot's starship or operate independently for a limited time. Pilots Ekelarc Yong and Gureni Telsij wore equipment overvests during the Battle of Endor[1] in 4 ABY.[2]
Behind the scenes
Equipment overvests first appeared in the 1983 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[3] They were first identified in the twenty-sixth issue of Star Wars Helmet Collection, which was released in 2016.[1]
