In 2 BBY,[3] an engagement between took place in a system in Sector 56. The battle was between dissidents who were attacking shipping in the sector and the[2] 7th Fleet[4] Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Chimaera, commanded by Grand Admiral Mitth'raw'nuruodo "Thrawn",[2] who had recently[1] led the Empire to a tactical victory in the Battle of Atollon.[5]

The battle in Sector 56 resulted in a truce which neutralized the threat to shipping, and brought the system under Imperial control. Following the battle, Thrawn reported his success to Emperor Palpatine in the Imperial Palace on Coruscant.[2]
