Empire Today was a magazine published by the Galactic Empire.[3] Empire Today Volume IX was published in 5 BBY,[2] subtitled Let Darkness Prevail, and celebrated the fourteenth Empire Day. Empire Today Volume IX discussed the history of the Galactic Empire and interviewed Darth Vader and a "Brave stormtrooper" about Emperor Palpatine.[1] Another issue of Empire Today was an in-flight magazine on Lambda-class T-4a shuttles. It included articles such as "Talkin' Tarkin," "Get the Imperial look," and "10 things you never knew about superweapons". The cover of this magazine was eventually collected and published in a book written by Poe Dameron.[3]

Empire Today was first mentioned in the 2015 non-canon reference book LEGO Star Wars: Free the Galaxy.[1]
