Emlat was a human who was a member of the Kanjiklub.[2] In 31 ABY,[1] Emlat and other Kanjiklubbers were in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu to capture the smuggler Han Solo, who had betrayed the gang in the past. Solo was lured into a trap in Oga's Cantina by his old friend Reeg Brosna. After arriving however, Solo's partner Chewbacca went ahead into the cantina to meet Brosna, while Solo stayed behind to buy a Life Day Orb for his Wookiee friend, which allowed him to avoid the trap. When Solo didn't arrive, the Kanjiklubbers took the patrons of the cantina hostage until someone surrendered him to them. Solo was then found by the cantina's owner Oga Garra and together the two went back to the cantina. Solo then pretended to surrender to Emlat, but instead dropped the Life Day Orb, in which he had hidden a flash grenade, and he and Garra shot Emlat and the other gang members of Kanjiklub. Afterwards Garra wanted to shoot Brosna too, but Chewbacc stopped her telling them that Brosna had been blackmailed by Kanjiklub who had threatened his home and family. Emlat had tan skin and black hair and a large cybernetic around his head and over his left eye. He wore brown armor like many Kanjiklubbers and used a large two barrel blaster pistol.[2]
