The Eclipse Rider was a modified Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 light freighter that pilot Wedge Antilles rented[1] in 7 ABY[2] during the preparations for the Bacta War, a conflict between Antilles' independent starfighter unit Rogue Squadron and the pro-Imperial government of[1] the Inner Rim[3] planet Thyferra. It was used by Antilles and fellow Rogue Squadron pilot Ooryl Qrygg for a trip from[1] the Core Worlds planet[3] Coruscant to[1] the Outer Rim planet[3] Rishi to purchase a cache of X-wing starfighter parts.[1]
The trip out from Coruscant went well, but upon landing on Rishi, the Eclipse Rider lost a repulsorlift coil. While Antilles purchased the necessary X-wing parts, Qrygg worked on replacing the missing repuslorlift coil. Local regulations on the use of repulsorlift vehicles ultimately delayed the departure from Rishi by twelve hours.[1]

The Eclipse Rider was mentioned in the novel X-Wing: The Bacta War, written by Michael A. Stackpole and published in 1997.[1]
