The south passage was a corridor located with the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Echo Base. After Captain Han Solo announced his intention to leave Echo Base due to the death mark placed upon his head, the south passage was the site of an argument between him and Princess Leia Organa. Organa believed that Solo had decided to stay with the Alliance, but Solo was of the opinion that Organa wanted him to stay due to her having feelings for him.[1]
