The EV2 discreet reconnaissance macrobinoculars was a Macrobinoculars designed and produced by the legendary spymaster known as The Shroud. Named after one of his top lieutenants Evie Bo, the EV2 model possessed top-notch features such as supreme-resolution zoom, wide-spectrum environmental analysis, full voice/data communications and an omnioptic interface for Miralukas. The Shroud contracted the components separately across the galaxy and oversaw the assembly himself. The macrobinoculars were fitted with anti-tamper explosive charges embedded into the framework to prevent reverse engineering.[1]
Despite all the precaution, a copy of EV2 was lost when Evie Bo herself defected to the Sith Empire and informed Darth Mortis about Shroud's plan to attack Dromund Kaas. Around the same time, a copy was obtained by Republic Strategic Information Service agent Deena Riss. Since the devices provided exclusive access to the Shroud's technology, they proved invaluable in preventing his planned terrorist attacks.[2]
