The EOD-Mk IV explosives disposal remote was a model of droid remote manufactured by Industrial Automaton for use in construction, demolitions, and explosives ordnance disposal. They were small, spherical, and designed to be operated from a distance via datapad. EOD-Mk IV remotes could also operate autonomously, traveling in groups with preprogrammed orders. They were equipped with a built-in explosives ordnance disposal kit, an on-board demolitions scanner that could detect explosive compounds and devices, a small explosive charge that could detonate other explosive devices, and two manipulator arms. They cost 500 credits on the market and were usually operated by explosives ordnance disposal troopers or demolitions operators.[1]
