Dune ghosts were part of the local legends of Human Zalorians of the planet Zaloriis, who believed that dune ghosts wandered the wastelands of the world at night. Combined with legends of disappearing travelers, the fear of dune ghosts led Zalorians to avoid the open deserts, congregating instead in small outposts connected by frequently used roads.[1]
