- "Now those racers had some rivalries."
"Oh, yeah. Nothing now like back in the day. I mean, Ark Roose and Dud Bolt after that crash during Boonta Eve a while ago? Ooowee! Legends."
"They took it off the track."
"Way off the track. Ark poisoned Dud's mom!"
"I heard."
"Well, sh–she lived, she's ok. It was meant for Dud, but…" - ―The host of Track Talk and Coy Vrizh
The mother of[1] the Vulptereen[2] podracer Dud Bolt was poisoned by Bolt's rival Ark Roose after the pair began feuding over a collision between their vehicles at the Boonta Eve Classic podrace[1] held on the planet Tatooine in 32 BBY.[3] The poison was intended for Bolt himself, but his mother survived and recovered.[1] Around 10 BBY,[4] the Snivvian podracer Coy Vrizh and the host of the radio show Track Talk discussed Bolt and Roose's rivalry, including the poisoning of Bolt's mother, during an interview.[1]
Behind the scenes
Dud Bolt's mother was mentioned in the Industrial Light & Magic virtual reality game Star Wars: Beyond Victory - A Mixed Reality Playset.[1]
