A dropbox was a gray flat control panel carried by the guards of the Cog Hive Seven prison. Each inmate of the prison had a subatomic electrostatic detonator implanted in the walls of his heart. By typing in an inmate's prison number using the device's keypad, a guard could activate those charges.[1]
