The droid cruisers were a form of droid-operated combat units that were used to defend Tig Fromm's base on Ingo. In 15 BBY, droid cruisers were used to prevent Thall Joben, Jord Dusat, Kea Moll, R2-D2, and C-3PO from escaping from the base. However, C-3PO reactivated the Fromm Tower Droids who attacked the droid cruisers, allowing the group to escape in the confusion.
