- "Dee? You came for me. I knew you would..."
- ―Draylen
Draylen was a man and friend of MHD-19. Several years before[1] 3 ABY,[3] Draylen encountered MHD-19, a medical droid in forced servitude, and liberated him. Draylen and MHD-19 became a loyal friends,[1] with Draylen giving MHD-19 the nickname "Dee."[2] The two eventually joined the Rebel Alliance. In 3 ABY,[3] Draylen, now a Rebel operative, was captured by the Empire while on a mission. He was imprisoned in a holding facility on Tro'Har[1] where he awaited execution.[2]
Determined to save his friend, MHD-19 traveled to the facility with the help of Verena Talos and Loku Kanoloa. The group fought the Imperial forces and rescued Draylen. Dazed and tired, Draylen told MHD-19 the he knew he would come to rescue him; then succumbed to his exhaustion and fell asleep. MHD-19 then began to dutifully attend to Draylen's injuries.[2]
Behind the scenes
- "It's not your fault, Dee."
- ―Draylen before passing away in an alternate ending of the side mission
Draylen appeared in the Star Wars: Imperial Assault expansion set Return to Hoth[2] released on December 23, 2015[4] in the provided rulebook as part of the "Preventative Measures" side mission.[2]
This article assumes a specific path is taken in the roleplaying adventure. This article assumes that the players successfully rescue Draylen. If they players are unsuccessful, then Draylen gets executed. A dying Draylen will tell MHD-19 that it is not his fault before passing away, leaving MHD-19 inconsolable for days.[2]
