Biography
- "I work for one of the major powers here. Word has it that someone is riling up the Tuskens."
- ―Dorn Gestros, to an entertainer
After the Battle of Yavin, Dorn Gestros was involved in Jabba the Hutt's plot to take control of Mos Eisley. The plan was to incite the Tusken Raiders to attack Mos Eisley in order to pressurize the mayor and eventually take control of the city.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] Dorn Gestros frequented the cantina in the city of Mos Espa. During this time, a Twi'lek named Anetia Kah'ryn tasked an entertainer with extracting information from a number of patrons, including Dorn Gestros. Anetia, a performer herself, found that patrons were more willing to divulge information after they have been entertained. Anetia desired information on criminal and Tusken activity on Tatooine, and felt Dorn Gestros might know something.[1] A novice entertainer went to the Mos Espa cantina and performed for Gestros and other patrons. After the performance, Gestros complimented the entertainer. The entertainer used this opportunity to flatter Gestros, and ask him if he knew of any information. Gestros then revealed that someone was riling up the Tuskens, and that some sort of holy site was involved. The entertainer thanked Gestros for the information, and after saying their farewells, reported the information to Anetia.[1]

Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees — Entertainer Quest: "The Entertainer's Life" on Tatooine
- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
