"It took me years to understand that I could put it right and be the person I needed to be. That I could stop hiding and show the world how I felt."
―Dorian Innes[2]

Dorian Innes was a trans male medical officer in the Republic Defense Coalition during the High Republic Era. He was assigned on a Republic and Jedi Order mission to the planet Angoth to capture one of the Nameless creatures from the Nihil marauders. Innes accompanied Jedi Master Mirro Lox, his Padawan Amadeo Azzazzo, the mercenaries Ashton Vol and L-77, and an RDC team aboard the Pacifier-class transport ship Invictus.[2]

Behind the scenes

Dorian Innes first appeared in the 2024 young-adult novel The High Republic: Tears of the Nameless, written by George Mann and published as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase III.[3] In the novel, Innes tells Amadeo Azzazzo about coming out to his father, a scene Mann included as he felt it was important for people to be able to see themselves in novels.[4]

Notes and references

  1. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of The High Republic: Into the Dark to 232 BBY. As Into the Dark establishes that Reath Silas is seventeen years old, he must have been born around 249 BBY. The High Republic: Tears of the Nameless further states Dorian Innes is around the same age as Silas, meaning he must have been born around that year.
