Plot summary
On stormy Ando, the mad Doctor Evazan meets with his patron, an ambitious Aqualish Senator. The politician is funding Evazan's research project to develop a medical breakthrough profitable enough to afford Ando independence from the Empire. Evazan's project: transference of consciousness as a means of practical immortality. Gurion Silizzar, a bounty hunter hoping to avenge the gruesome deaths of his family members at the hands of Evazan, infiltrates the doctor's gloomy castle. The assassin's attempt is thwarted by Rover, Evazan's pet Meduza, a voracious bloblike creature.
