Docking Bay 9 was a docking bay located in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu, located in close proximity to Merchant Row. By 34 ABY,^[2] the First Order had a presence there, using it as a recruiting station.^[3] A cargo area housed and sold propaganda items promoting the First Order. A TIE echelon belonging to Kylo Ren was parked in the area.

Behind the scenes

The docking bay, alongside Merchant Row, was named on trading cards available at Disney's December 16, 2017 "Galactic Nights" session, previewing locations in the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge park area. A portion of the card set's Aurebesh poem on the border of the card read, "A BEACON FOR DRIFTERS".

Press information referred to Docking Bay 9 as the place where guests can join the First Order,^[3] and it would later be revealed as the location for the First Order Cargo shop. The Galaxy's Edge model unveiled by Disney showed a TIE fighter in the area, but the real world location had the new TIE echelon instead.
