Dioxis grenade

The dioxis grenade,[1] dioxis mine, or dioxis charge[2] was a grenade that upon being thrown, would release a toxic gas known as dioxis. The gas was only mild, however it would choke to death those who were in its range for an extended period of time.[1] It was known to be used by the BX-series droid commandos of the Separatist Alliance,[2] and later the Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, and the New Republic.[1]

Behind the scenes

The dioxis grenade was introduced in Star Wars Battlefront's first major expansion pack, The Outer Rim DLC. It is bought through the use of Hutt contracts, and will unlock only after the player has used 20 smoke bombs and blinded 20 people using flash grenades.
