- "Tell your mom I said hi, Di'reni."
"Mm-hmm. She's always asking about you." - ―Just Lucky and Di'reni
A female individual was the mother of the Twi'lek[1] female Di'reni, who worked as a bartender and owned[2] Club Lazuli in Canto Bight[1]—the capital city of the Outer Rim planet Cantonica[3]—during the Imperial Era. According to Di'reni, she frequently asked her daughter about Just Lucky,[1] who was a childhood friend of the Twi'lek.[2] In 3 ABY,[4] as Lucky left the club to chase the criminal Koz,[1] he[5] told Di'reni to say hello to their mother for him. In response, the Twi'lek agreed to do so and told Lucky how their mother always asked about him.[1]
Behind the scenes
Di'reni's mother was mentioned in the ninth issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Doctor Aphra. The issue was written by Alyssa Wong and published by Marvel Comics[1] on April 21, 2021.[6]
