"Devin" was a male humanoid individual who lived on the pirate base of Providence during the Galactic Civil War.
Biography
The mysterious creature called "Devin" by the population of Providence appeared as a humanoid wrapped in a long hooded leather cape, sewn with talismans and trinkets. He always wore a respirator, and none had ever seen his face. He always carried a stick topped with a human skull, and his hands were surrounded by strips.
He regularly made prophecies, formulated with his high-pitched voice. These were only words, incomplete and mysterious sentences, but all the things he had predicted eventually happened. His predictions were either completely trivial or very important, but nobody knew when Devin would make them. The rest of the time, he would stay in a corner, apparently waiting for something, completely apathetic.
His sudden predictions, when he loomed in the city, were a frightening thing for the pirates of Providence, but they took care to notice all of the prophecies, discussing and analyzing them. Thus, Devin was an essential part of the politics and life on the space station.
Behind the scenes
"Devin" was created by Jean-Michel Ringuet for the ambiguously canon roleplaying aid "Providence," which appeared in the French magazine Avalon 1.
