The devastation of Little Kessel was a battle of the Galactic Civil War.
The devastation
- "No... No—! I can't stand it—! Let me stop! Don't make me do this any more—!"
"Kessel has only surrendered two of the hundreds of Rebels known to be on the planet—! You will destroy the planet or you will never see your daughter again!" - ―Professor Renn Volz and Captain Bzorn
During the Galactic Civil War, Little Kessel was home to hundreds of Rebels. In 0 ABY, Captain Bzorn traveled to Little Kessel aboard the Ionic Ring and demanded that all Rebels on the planet be surrendered. When the government of Little Kessel refused, the Galactic Empire tormented the planet with groundquakes and cyclones.[1]

- ↑ The "Time Line" of The Essential Chronology places Classic Star Wars: The Early Adventures 1–9 between the Evacuation of Yavin in 0.5 ABY and the Duel on Mimban in 2 ABY.
- ↑ As Han Solo is working for Jabba the Hutt in "The Second Kessel Run," the story must fall between Star Wars (1977) 28 and Star Wars (1977) 37, as Jabba has forgiven Solo's debt during this period; as both issues are dated to 0 ABY by The Essential Chronology, so is "The Second Kessel Run."
